Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 15, 2025

At NovaLink Turbo, we believe in being upfront about how we handle your information. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our platform, why we need it, and what happens to it. We operate in Taiwan and follow local regulations, but more importantly, we try to treat your data the way we'd want ours treated.

Information We Collect

When you sign up or browse our trading education platform, we gather different types of information. Some of it you give us directly. Other bits come from how you interact with our site.

Account Information

Your name, email address, and password when you create an account. We need this to set up your profile and send you course materials.

Learning Progress

Which lessons you've completed, quiz scores, and time spent on different modules. This helps us understand what's working and what isn't.

Device and Browser Data

Your IP address, browser type, and device information. Pretty standard stuff that helps us fix technical issues and improve site performance.

Communication Records

Messages you send through our contact forms or support tickets. We keep these to provide better assistance and track resolved issues.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to remember your login status and preferences. Nothing sneaky—just making sure you don't have to log in every time you visit. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features might not work as smoothly.

How We Use Your Data

Here's the practical stuff. We use what we collect to make the platform work and improve it over time.

  • Delivering course content and tracking your progress through our beginner trading modules
  • Sending important updates about your account, new lessons, or changes to our platform
  • Analyzing how students move through courses to spot confusing sections or areas that need better explanations
  • Responding to your questions when you reach out for help
  • Meeting legal requirements under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act
  • Detecting and preventing fraudulent account activity or unauthorized access

What We Don't Do

We won't sell your email to marketers. We don't share your learning data with third parties for their advertising. And we're not interested in tracking you across the internet beyond our own platform.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

Sometimes we need to work with other companies to run our platform. When we do, we're careful about what gets shared.

Service Providers We Work With

Our hosting provider stores the platform data on servers located in Taiwan. We use an email service to send course updates and password reset links. Payment processing is handled by a third-party processor that complies with PCI standards—we never see your full credit card numbers.

These companies can only use your data to provide services to us. They're not allowed to use it for their own purposes.

Legal Requirements

If Taiwan authorities request user data as part of a legal investigation, we'll comply with valid legal orders. We'll notify you unless we're prohibited from doing so by law.

Your Rights Under Taiwan Law

Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act gives you several rights regarding your personal information. Here's how you can exercise them with us.

Access Your Data

You can request a copy of all personal information we hold about you. Email us at info@novalinkturbo.com with "Data Access Request" in the subject line. We'll send you a comprehensive file within 14 days.

Correct Inaccurate Information

If your email address changes or we've got something wrong in your profile, you can update most information directly in your account settings. For changes to historical records, contact our support team.

Delete Your Account

You can request full account deletion at any time. We'll remove your personal data within 30 days, though we may retain some records for legal compliance purposes—tax records, for instance, need to be kept for five years under Taiwan law.

Object to Processing

If you disagree with how we're using your data, you can object. We'll review your request and either stop the processing or explain why we need to continue based on legitimate legal grounds.

Restrict Processing

In certain situations, you can ask us to limit how we use your data while we resolve a dispute or verify information accuracy. Your account will remain active but we'll pause certain data uses.

Data Security Measures

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorized access. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Our servers use SSL encryption for data transmission. Database access is restricted to essential personnel only.

That said, no system is completely bulletproof. If we discover a breach that affects your data, we'll notify you within 72 hours and explain what happened and what steps we're taking.

Your Security Responsibilities

Pick a strong password. Don't reuse passwords from other sites. Log out when using shared computers. These simple habits go a long way in protecting your account.

Data Retention

We keep your account data as long as your account is active. Course progress and quiz results stay in our system so you can pick up where you left off, even after breaks.

After Account Deletion

When you delete your account, we remove personal identifiers within 30 days. Some anonymized data might remain in our analytics—things like "a student completed this module" without any information about who that student was. Financial records related to course purchases are kept for five years to comply with Taiwan tax regulations.

Inactive Accounts

If you haven't logged in for three years, we'll send a reminder email. After another six months of inactivity, we may delete your account and associated data. You'll get advance notice before this happens.

International Data Considerations

Our servers are located in Taiwan, and we primarily serve students in the Taiwan market. If you access our platform from outside Taiwan, your data will be transferred to and stored in Taiwan. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.

Taiwan has strong data protection standards that align with international best practices. Your rights under this policy apply regardless of where you're located.

Children's Privacy

Our platform is designed for adults learning about trading basics. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you're a parent and believe your child has created an account, contact us immediately and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy occasionally as our platform evolves or regulations change. When we make significant changes, we'll email active users at least 30 days before the new policy takes effect. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page shows when the current version was implemented.

Continuing to use the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy. If you disagree with changes, you can delete your account before they become active.

Questions or Concerns?

If something in this policy is unclear or you want to exercise your data rights, reach out to us. We'll get back to you within five business days.
